Children's work

At St Mary’s, we believe that our children are fully members of the church and want to do all we can to help them think about what they believe.

Sunday morning in Parish Praise

(9.30am in Church Hall except 1st Sun of month when 10.15am in church)

Children are fully part of our church family and we what to help them enjoy being part of our services.

We try to make our services as friendly as we can to people of all ages, and on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month in term time we run three groups. (3rd Sun of month we all stay together in the service).

Creche - for pre-schoolers. Feel free to leave your child/ren with our volunteers or stay with them if you prefer.

We also run a group for Reception to Yr 5's and a group for Yr 6 to Yr 9s so that we can all learn in an age appropriate way.

We always rejoin the rest of the congregation after our session, in time for squash and biscuits at the end!

Messy Church

On the third Friday of each month the Church Hall transforms into Messy Church; we meet at 3.30pm until 6pm for this event which is aimed primarily at children up to 11 years, with all family members welcome. We do crafts and activities based around a theme before enjoying a very informal time of worship. We finish off with a tasty meal together.
